Road traffic accidents have become the norm of the day in India. Tamilnadu state stands as the worst state in India for road traffic accidents and Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore has responded to the challenge. They are starting a state of the art tertiary level trauma care center with 1500 beds.
10 KM east of current location of CMC, there is a village called Kanigapuram where they have started the construction for this hospital on Chennai - Bangalore highway. It is expected to be opened in the middle of 2019.
Many of the super-specialities are expected to be shifted there and staff residential quarters are going to be built. All of a sudden, real estate in this region has become precious and prices have skyrocketed.
